RADAR

Take a lot of NY attitude and mix in that good old southern rock feel and you have RADAR! Rooted in the blues with a heavy guitar sound, RADAR gets you hooked with great foot tapping music and catchy lyrics. This debut studio release of all original material has been very well received by live audiences, and now you can take them with you where ever you go! RADAR is Ronnie Pauls (guitar/vocals), Dan "Chopper" Carillo (drums), Ric LuBell - (bass/vocals), and Mike "Tiny" Dykes (guitar).

Ronnie Pauls - Guitar/Vocals

Ronnie Pauls is a guitarist/singer/songwriter from "southern" NY, and he is mostly known in that area as the founding member and front man for the well know southern rock cover band SUNDOWN for 40 years. He has shared the stage with most of the notable national southern rock and roll acts including The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, and Marshall Tucker to name a few. Now he has formed a new breed of southern rockers straight out of NY! As the bands primary song writer, you can hear and feel all the influences of his past. The bands debut CD "Back To Broke" was released in August of 2017 and has local fans raving!

Dan "Chopper" Carillo - Drums

Dan "Chopper" Carillo  is a NY city based drummer who established himself in the music scene as "The Jam Master", setting up and directing local venue jam sessions, hosting for thousands of local musicians, including many celebrity players too. His drumming abilities span all genre of music, and he is a master at laying down a beat to groove on, which is very evident in the bands material.

Ric LuBell - Bass/Vocals

Ric LuBell is a NY based musician with decades of performing to his credit. He has been playing “Southern Rock” for years, and has toured up and down the East Coast with the likes of New England based Southern Rock band “R&R” and, more recently, with the area’s best known Allman Brothers tribute band, The Brothers Of The Road Band, performing for huge crowds at various biker rallies and music festivals.  Being ever the consummate jammer, he also showcases that side of his music personality playing at theaters and large festivals all over the Northeast as one of the founding members of the region’s best and most popular Grateful Dead experience, TERRAPIN. His creative bass lines and soaring vocals have kept him in demand throughout the area." 

Mike "Tiny" Dykes - Guitar

Mike "Tiny" Dykes is a guitarist that hails from Tennessee, and was a member of the very well known 70's southern rock band SOUTHERN CROSS, who established themselves in the same NY/NJ club circuit as Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, and ZEBRA. Now living back in NY, Tiny is thrilling audiences with his soulful and blistering guitar playing.
